I am moving to the Hampton Roads within the next month for the company I currently work for. We are in charge of the construction at Langley AFB Housing. I have had a hard time with locating housing. It's either "tax credit" or WAY TOO MUCH. I have found a few...don't mind a drive to work...but my big problem is making sure that I am in a good school district for my daughter when we make the move. I can not allow for her to fall backwards in education, as she is already advanced for her age and needs a challenge. Can anyone tell me anything about Spring House Apartments at Newport News? How about apartments near Hilton Elementary School? Is this particular complex in the school district Hilton is in? I have found this schools rating to be at a 10. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated as I am currently 5 hours away and can not travel in that area every day. Thanks to all. Any advice on apartments/schools is welcomed.

Folks who live near langley can help you with that. I'm not familiar with that area, but I hear Williamsburg is a nice place to live.

Hilton is a great elemenary school, probably one of the best in NN...If you go to the NN public school web page, there is a section where you can put your address and it will tell you what school it is zoned for

You can go online and google the schools in the area for which you are thinking about moving. It will show the tests scores, rating etc. If you still need help, you can email me and I can send you those sites.
