Hey I am 20 years old looking for a different spin on life right now. I have live in NH my whole life. I have gone to one year of college and I would be looking for a good school to finish my degree in Business. Any suggestions on Condo vs Renting?? and schools?? Also fun things to do... I am interested in learning how to surf and play soccer. Who should I talk to when I visit this summer? I will be working at Best Buy in the Norfolk area as a sales supervisor is there a particular Best Buy that is better or more friendly than others??

I don't know much about Best Buys, but learning to surf would be achieved best by becoming friends with a local surfer who can show you the ropes. As I'm sure you know, surfing is looked at as a culture all on its own and some surfers are a little paranoid about new-comers. The only beach I would avoid when you come down is Croatan. Many of the surfers at Croatan don't even like other locals surfing there, let alone new-comers. Check out the North End of the Oceanfront (Va Beach) between 89th and 50th streets. That's where we usually go and hang out, surf, picnic, party, nap, etc. There's always gonna be jerks in the water, but for the most part, at least in the North End, people are pretty chill and accepting.

The most respected school in the region seems to be ODU. I'd try there first.

If you are relocation to this area, please keep one thing in mind.

It’s a beautiful town, but the people from here suck.

I also relocated here from Brooklyn and found this to be Hillbilly country.

They are all back stabbers and will rat you out in a minute.

They will not help you unless they get something in return.

They don’t know what good food is.

They have no morals or self-respect.

They would rather buy a six-pack of Beer before they buy a gallon of Milk for their children.

They all drink beer the minute they get home and they think it's cool.

They have no loyalty to their employer and will leave the company for a 25-cent increase if offered by another company.

They are not friendly and will not go out of their way for anyone.

They can't drive to save their life.

To sum it, Hamptonroads SUCKS
