I'll be moving to Hampton Roads in September and I am looking for a 3 Bedroom 2 Bath house to rent.

I would prefer something that was "country", as I am hoping to raise my rugrats around deer, squirrels, racoons, and etc....

Any leads, or respectable Real Estate Agents in that area would be appreciated.

While it is too early to look for rentals, when the time is closer you might want to consider Suffolk/Isle of Wight. Then again it depends on where you will work. If you need something more 'north' try York County.

There are plenty of homes for rent here, try looking around Pungo area of VA Beach/Chesapeake. It's close to the city but still has a country feel to it. Your gonna spend some money though, just like anywhere around here. I would say between $1400-$2000 per month for what your looking for. Hickory area of Chesapeake is somewhat country as well. Suffolk is too far from everything IMO, and you'll be one of thousands trying to commute, so it makes for a lovely drive to work in the morning.

Isle of Wight is smack dab in the middle of HR - close to major highways and shopping. Yes, parts of Suffolk can be far, but the Rt17 corridor is still country yet convenient. Talk about being out there - Pungo is far from most things (although they have improved on the shopping front). I do like Pungo though .

Pungo is a good area and Sandbridge isn't bad either.

Well be on the NAS side of Norfolk unfortunately. I used to live in Va Beach 1996-1999 and I vowed never to live over there again!!!

If you are at NAS in norfolk, look at maybe Hickory section of Chesapeake, or look towards Northern Suffolk/Smithfield area. The latter area though means using the midtown tunnel everyday, and that can be a bear though

I do see what your saying, I was over in Rescue a few months ago and just kinda thought of the whole area being way out of the way. Pungo is great, my mom has a house in Sandbridge and I always enjoy heading down that way.

If I were stationed at NAS Norfolk, I would seariously consider conforming to city life as opposed to trying to fight my way in and out of there.

If you're into the country, but want a little city, Pungo would be a good choice.
