I don't want chain restaurants. We've lived here 22 years and I'm still in search of the perfect pizza place but I want a LOCAL business. I believe in keeping the small business owner in business. Thank you!

I have a friend who swears by this place: Mamma Mia's Pizzeria in Virginia Beach

Mamma Mia Pizzeria - Virginia Beach, VA 23455-4044 | Metromix Hampton Roads (http://hamptonroads.metromix.com/restaurants/pizza/mamma-mia-pizzeria-virginia-beach/201582/content - broken link)

I have another friend who really enjoys Cogan's over in Ghent:

Cogan's - Ghent - Norfolk, VA 23517-1905 | Metromix Hampton Roads (http://hamptonroads.metromix.com/bars-and-clubs/pub/cogans-ghent/200676/content - broken link)

I personally enjoy Vivo (not the one in Hilltop):

Really depends on what type of Pizza your after. I personally like a good NY Pizza. There is a Sals on Laskin Rd that I find to be the best.

Primo Pizza at Princess Anne Marketplace. Baxter @ Princess Anne. I don't like thick crust, takes away from the flavor or the toppings. Sometimes I stop in and have them par-bake the pizza so I can finish cooking it at home.

Personally, I enjoyed the pizza over at Piccolo's Pizza on Holland Rd. It's in the same shopping center as Fortune Oriental Supermarket off to the side.

I Love Crab Creek Pizza (used to be Jimmy's) on Shore Drive, at the foot of the Lessner Bridge.

I saw where Jimmy didn't own it anymore and wondered if the food was any good. Jimmy had some good pizza as well. Awesome sandwiches too!

I never ate there when it was Jimmy's. Crab Creek delivers, I didn't think Jimmy's did, but I could be wrong. They have really good pizza's with fresh toppings and good sandwiches too!

I've always wanted to try that Crab Creek place. I like the location a lot. Maybe I'll give it a shot tonight.

When we beach fish, we fish down at the beach on the marina. Head on up to that place for beer and sandwiches.
