I'm just wondering if anyone here has a suggestion as to where to go online to look for rental listings. I have done rentals.com and Craigslist, but I wonder if I should be perusing other sites as well. Thanks!

I'm in the process of looking for a house to rent. Craigslist has been a good source, although my best leads have come from driving around the area I'm looking at.

realtor.com has a ton of rentals listed...some houses are on several sites, so you may see some duplicates.

We really would rather rent a house; we have two young kids, and we want a yard and a neighborhood with good schools.

Craigslist is cool, but many of the locals are stone agers and probably missed it (those that know what it is, either moved here from elsewhere or were watching shows like "Flip this house" most likely).

Oddly enough, Realtors might have lists.

Driving around is the best bet, then you will find the places where the owners aren't internet users (and hopefully won't have ridiculous price expectations. The last thing you want is someone watching TLC Flip this house type crap looking to become trump Jr, not realizing how much work it takes to keep a rental and not having the money to fix it in emergencies.)

To the OP: are you military? If so, try AHRN. Can't beat it. Lots of homeowners/property management companies list there because they prefer military renters.

I am seeing alot of rentals right now - they seem to be private owners renting though who might not pay for the postings. If you are in the area, I would definitely suggest just driving around. Also you might want to check out the Saturday online Pilot or Daily Press for the peninsula.
