We're making plans to return to Virginia Beach after living away for 10 years. We've been back for visits a few times but would like some input on where to live. Before we lived in the Strawbridge area and really liked it but obviously it's changed after ten years. Can anyone give us some info on that area now and also the Great Neck area? Thanks!

My family and I live in the Strawbridge area and absolutely love it. Strawbridge Elementary has been a great school for my kids. The location is convenient to Sandbridge Beach, which we love. There are many reasons we will be sad to leave here. It's a great place.

wow! 10 years, Strawbridge area has changed a lot in 10 years. There are lots of strip malls and great restaurants in the area. All in all still a great area to live. Great Neck hasnt changed much still very residential.

you will still love VB when u return

Strawbridge is getting crowded by the second gretneck is very expencive . Iwould consider landstown but that area isnt kept up as good and has abit of a higher crime rate than strawbridge and gneck. I would consider chesapeake in the grasfeild area or fox hill in hampton or the norhtern area of newport news

I have been living in the Great Neck area for the past two years and love it. The beaches are all really close - both bayside and oceanside, depending on your preference. Schools are excellent. Great restaurants, seafood places along shore drive, nicer restaurants in the hilltop area.

I lived in Norfolk about 10 years ago and did not want to move back to the area. This time we decided to live closer to the beach and I love it. I don't want to move.
