Has anyone gotten one of the converter boxes and is using it with an antenna? My mom in Newport News has and the reception for most channels isn't that great. Anyone else having an issue?

I have digital TV's - so no need for a converter box. But I don't subscribe to pay-TV....I use OTA only, and my antenna works just great for all the channels.

Did she follow the set up directions and do a scan? We get 5 more channels than we got with our trailer antenna.

Yep (since I had to set it up)...get all the channels...some of them just blink in and out from time to time on a regular basis. Was wondering if they are going to increase the strength after the conversion...

They do mention that you have to rotate your antenna to pick up more strength, but maybe after the conversion date it may get better. The channels that I don't get out there, it just says "no signal" 3, 10, 13, 27 and 43 come in great.
