Why is he sad? Did he come from a big city? I'm 22. Maybe I can talk to your son. At first when I moved to Va Beach I was sad because I felt so uncomfortable here since this is not a big city like NYC. So yeah, just let me know.

Old Donation Psychiatric on Potter's Road. Our son was overwhelmed with college as well. It's a tough life for some who study hard, work hard after school and a big party for others who are only there for attendance. We were able to work through it with him. How often do you talk with him while he's at school? Do you visit him at school?

The schools often have counselors on staff as well and is something for him to think about when he returns to school. I recall a couple of friends when I was in school mentioning that seeing one of the school counselors helped them through some stressful times.

Absolutely! Ours did see his counselor once a week. I think what overwhelms them the most are the horror stories of paying back their school loans and wondering if they'll even get a job in their field. You always have some flunky who wasn't that great of a student, not get a job in his/her field and tell everyone they're doomed.
