I keep hearing about the "Chesapeake Farmer's Market",where exactly is it?
I am down in the Hickory/GreatBridge part of Chesapeake.
I have been looking for a good farmer's market since we moved here and I have found a few small ones but nothing major.

Anyone have any info?

I dont know of a "Chesapeake Farmer's Market". Most cities have a few neighborhood stands that sell both local and shipped in items but you will not find anything that would be considered anything close to major in Hampton Roads

Driving down the 168 Expressway I saw a sign right before the exit for Target that mentioned a Chesapeake Farmer's Market, not sure where it was or if it was just a one time thing or not. I will check it again the next time I drive by.

That one is on Saturday morning in the parking lot by the Taekwando place. I have been there. It is basically one farmer with squash, corn, tomatoes egg plant (they were good)<lol>. The other vendors were not veggie related. The selection is not big.

I wonder if there is something towards Moyok?

Its right in the middle of the Chesapeake City Park off of Greenbrier Pkwy, as you get close to the park you'll see signs.

The CHPK farmers market is really kind of sad as far as farmers markets go. I was really surprised considering the number of farms around here. Although it is much more commercial I prefer the VB farmers mkt over in Princess Anne area. There are also lots of little veggie stands all over the place if you drive around Pungo.

There's a nice stand on Sandbrige road. The family had a little one on Cholechester, but built a nice one right on the road to the beach. The corn is awesome. There's one on Newbridge & Indian River Intersection in Pungo..Cromwell Farms. Little, but good veggies and fruit.
