Va Beach. Why.. because of beaches and its home. I would nominate Norfolk second place, cool place to hang out sometimes.

Id have to say Newport News. I think it is designed far better then any other city in the area, and there is loads more stuff to do on the pennisula.

I would say NN, bc I live here and know the area very well....just a hair below that would be Norfolk, the true urban center of HR... my least favorite would be Chesapeake

Newport News feels like a northern city to me. I like the street grid, though.

Newport News is such a quasi city....you have the older urban DT area, the East End that is pretty much ghetto, yet has so much potential...Hilton Village, your typical suburban power centers along Jefferson in the Patrick Henry area; beautiful wooded neighborhoods along the James River with winding roads that is reminiscent of the old Warwick county, Port Warwick City Center and the emerging business area of Oyster Point. NN has a little bit of everything.

Cityboi- Suffolk has become sprawly, however their DT area has potential and at least they are trying to incorporate mixed use in the northern part of the city.

Most of the cities in HR except Norfolk and Portsmouth are city-county hybrids. I mean Suffolk and Chesapeake both have swampland

Suffolk is way too rural for me, and too far from "civilization" in the region, I like northern Suffolk, Chesapeake is a little better, but Greenbrier has turned into a crowded suburban strip mall
