When I lived in VB, I spent most of my free time on the couch in front of the TV, but I also worked out everday at the rec center and walked the dog twice a day, so I didn't ( and still don't ) look like a typical couch potatoe.

Ghent. Fairgrounds, the Naro, Tortilla West, Colley Cantina, Rajput, the Hague, Pelon's, etc. All fine establishments.

I personally think Downtown Norfolk has lost a little charm somewhat.

I voted for downtown Norfolk because DH works at MacArthur and that is where we end up most of the time. However, we really like to visit everywhere, really mix it up. We have family in Newport News so we spend alot of time there too.

I picked "Other." My write-in is Chicks Beach. Although DT Norfolk has some great attractions and Ghent is usually fun, I just love the atmosphere at Chicks Beach...I've yet to find anything like it around here. The beach is mostly locals, you got two bridges to hang out under for shade and napping on the beach, lots of great restaurants/bars, everyone's laid back, etc. It's really a cool place and by far my favorite area of VB.

I agree. From First Landing Park to the CBBT.

Agree...Chicks Beach is the ultimate place. Though I rather spend time at my trailer, fish, read, and enjoy the quiet. When I'm in the mood to hang at the beach, that's where I go, Chicks Beach.
