I am currently a student at TCC trying to finish prerequisite classes so I can apply to the nursing program. I'm getting discouraged though, because it looks like it will be four years before I'm completely done. TCC is more cost-effective, but at 40 years of age, I don't have time to mess around. I was wondering if anyone is familiar with Medical Careers Institute in any way--mainly cost/quality of their R.N. program? I'd really appreciate any and all input!!

I don't know anything about MCI, but have you checked out Sentara's nursing program? They also have a nursing care partner program that you could attend, then have a decently paying job until you finished the rest of nursing school. Good luck!
