How about some praise for Newport News?

Yay! We have friends whose children attend Hilton and they absolutely love it--nice to see it getting the recognition it deserves. Go, Newport News!

Wow! I guess they'll give it to anyone these days. Son attended OLMC. They are stuck in the 1950s. A complete disappointment after attending a Catholic school in FL. OLMC doesn't hold a candle to them. Couldn't wait to get out of there. The only reason we stuck with them was the realtor's assessment of public middle schools being horrible in NN.

Hey, Hilton was considered a sister school to the one I went to (Dutrow). Good for them.

We know a lot of families whose children attend Gildersleeve Middle School in NN and are very happy with it. I think people tend to generalize about "city schools" and, subsequently, miss out on some great opportunities.
