So today at work was incredibly slow and I got to thinking: I've never really known of any clear cut borders for the areas of VB. I've always had my own opinion as to where certain areas were, for example I always considered Town Center to really be just a tiny portion of the Pembroke Area. I know Pungo is the rural section in southern VB, etc. Anyway, I decided to make a map of the area borders (to my general knowledge) and post it here to see what you guys think. Here it is:

You guys agree with this? Yea? Nay?

Wow! I have to give you credit for such a detailed and comprehensive map. In My opinion, I think the western border of Kempsville extends to a little bit inside of the beltway - that area is also part of Va Beach. Also, Indian River is about half the size it is on the eastern side; the western side is Chesapeake, and the upper part of Blackwater (Fentress) is also Chesapeake. But that's just me being anal haha.

You know what? I think you have a GREAT map there!!! Most people new to the area, and many not-so-new, could benefit greatly from such a map. Excellent job!!!

I live by stumpy lake but the city, our deed, says we're Kempsville.

Thanks guys!

To adctvmonkey, yeah I realized that after posting this. I didn't actually consult a map of the city's border before doing this, haha. Oh well. Your revisions have been duly noted!

Hahaha, darn! I was actually trying too! You can tell because I wrote in all caps. You should see my regular handwriting - it's more of a half print/half cursive deal that no one can understand but me, haha.

Default Looking to move

Thank you for this helpful map. I’m looking to move to VB. Which areas would you say are lower middle class in terms of housing. I’m gonna want to buy a house or possibly rent for a little while until my house in Texas sells. I’m not looking to live in a mansion or anything. I just want a solid 3/2 or even 2/2 house with good school and safe neighborhood that I can walk my dogs in. Where we live now we can’t really walk our dogs cause of all the strays running around.

Grendel.. Interesting map.
I agree Town Center is a small region of Virginia Beach, personally I refer to it, & the few surrounding blocks as Columbus area..
In the 90s, w/Columbus station townhouses, Columbus theaters, and the sole tall building (Columbus One).. it seemed natural to me, to start referring to that area as Columbus..

I would move some of your border of the Bayside area west, and leave space for a Chic's Beach region. Chic's would basically run from Independence & Shore Dr intersection, east to the Lesner Bridge..
