Ever since I moved to Va Beach in 2008, I have always wondered what it's the Cavalier building about? Is it an hotel, court? What is it?

It is a hotel....I think it opened in 1927 (?) and it is gorgeous inside. Many people also have wedding receptions and banquets there as well.

My friends used to go there in high school and walk around. I've never been inside though. My mom actually had her Prom there, haha.

Ha. Obvious that you are very young, or new to the area. That's a very well-known hotel to us older locals!

I've heard many times it was haunted. Does anyone have any good (haunting) stories that they have experienced or heard about?

Yeah, I've heard that some girl died or was murdered in the Cavalier and she haunts the place. Basically your run-of-the-mill hotel horror story, but it's the only one I know. Like I said before, some friends of mine went and walked around in there back in the day, but the only weird thing they came across was a crazy janitor.
