Hello I am just wondering if there are any new yorkers from city-data that lives in the Hampton Roads.

Not from NY, but live in Hampton Roads and know that there's a great deli called 58 Deli in Va beach for those of you New Yawkers who need a real pastrami or corned beef fix.

Not from NY, but have sold many homes to New Yorkers who got tired of high taxes and moved to Williamsburg.

My first post! Im so excited!

Born and raised in Brooklyn. Moved to South Jersey in 2000 and then on to Norfolk in 2006. Tried going back to NJ last year. What was I thinking? I was back here in Va w/i 7 mos! And I wont leave again!

In Chesapeake now, and LOVE IT!

I know what you mean. I went back last month to visit my parents. I also drove by my old East Brunswick neighborhood. It seem bleak and cold. The economy in Jersey is in really pathetic shape with people losing their jobs in NYC constantly. And what is Jersey's answer to their current state financial crisis caused by forclosures due to job losses?...Raise real estate property taxes!!! You gotta love em!
