I'm out and about since I also lost power. I saw 2-3 flashes of blue light flashing through out the city as the transformers blew up. Yikes.

My mom's without power and her yard is flooded! She lives along the bay so I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that her house doesn't flood!

I'm on the Peninsula in Lower Yorktown near NASA/Langley AFB. Our power went out most of the evening. We had to drive around in the SUV to charge up our cell phones so we went to take a looksie at the low lying areas in and near our neighborhood. We have a lake in our neighobrhood and its over flowing into the neighobrhood in many places. Running Man neighobrhood has some really bad flooding. We almost made a big oopsie turning onto the wrong rode in the very low light of the neighborhood. Poquoson, well, its going to be pretty bad. Many streets were flooding over, yards underwater, some houses with slab foundations you could see the water was entering the homes. I know the stories coming out of there in the next few days are going to be ugly.

We faired well. No damage, pool cover is still on....we're lucky there is only clean up. Now if I can find a dry route to work, I'm doing fine!

Two of the main entrances to my neighborhood are blocked off. One because of high-water and another because of a tree in the road. Woke up this morning to the sound of chainsaws.
