My family and I (me, husband, 1 year old) are moving to this area so I can go back to ODU and finish my degree. I haven't lived here in several years so I'm not sure what parts are good and bad anymore! We're looking for a safe area since we have a child now, but we can't ask for much since we will only be able to afford around $600-800/month.
After scouring apartment websites, craig's list, crime maps and reviews til my fingers bled, I thought maybe a realtor would be able to help. Does anyone know of any in the area that specialize in apartments? I've never worked with a realtor before so I don't know if they charge a fee or anything. Any help would really be appreciated! I'm a little nervous about moving back since I lived in some pretty slummy places around ODU a few years ago.
