I am finding a really hard time looking for a rental home in the Princess Anne high school district because of the less than stellar credit. We need a 3+br 2bth home up to $1500. My boyfriend lost his job in 06 and his credit was bad in 06 and 07. He has had a stable, good paying job since Feb 07 and paid the bills on time. He is also retired navy so there is no problem paying the rent. I do not work but he makes enough so I really don't need to work. Just looking for someone to take that chance.

Don't know if you're looking for something detached, or a large apartment, but I would reccommend looking around Thalia Gardens Apartments for an apartment, or one of the small streets branching off of Bonney Road Right just past the Thalia Gardens or Runaway Bay area for a detached home. It's super close to PAHS, Thalia Gardens is a very decent place to live (I live there now), and I feel like there may be a few houses in the area looking for renters. Rtandc is absolutely right, a lot of people are doing private house rentals these days. However, if you're going in with a bad FICO score, and aren't willing to start working yourself in order to improve your joint score, I highly reccommend getting glowing written references from either your bank or your previous/current landlord stating that you've been a good tenant with timely payments. It may be enough to get an owner to look beyond an iffy credit score. Good luck, and if you look into thalia gardens, ask for Keith, he's very helpful.
