Ours HRSD between 30 - 40 every other month. The only time it was higher was when we filled our pool. They stopped giving rebates on that this year =( that was 20K gallons of water we had to pay to treat that never went into the system. Now our water bill is between 100 - 150 every other month.

We recycle as well. Could it be they weigh the container when they empty it?

In Virginia Beach, water is billed separately but it's also based on the water meter just as the HRSD bill. We usually get a water bill that's around $90-100 every other month plus a $20-30 HRSD water treatment bill. I believe some of the other cities combine the billing and it's probably caused some confusion here.

I always thought it was a direct correlation to your waterworks bill. I think the last one was huge for me due to two months of grass/flower watering

AH...I did not know that - I can understand the confusion now. So...for those that responded - the amount I am asking about is the TOTAL for water and sewer.
It has gone up
astronomically just recently...at least for me. Has anyone else noticed an increase?

Mine has not been that low...ever. I mean, not in over 25 years..not even for a single person. Are you sure you have the right bill?? And that is the total bill? My bill always covers 2 months.
