My fiance and I are looking to possibly move closer too North Carolina without getting too far away from Chesapeake. Our rent price range right now is like $300 to $550 and that seems to be darn near impossible around here and craziness I know. Also trying to get away from the random gun shots we hear at night sometimes *sigh* you must have a lot of money to get away from this stuff. My fiance and I have gotten back onto our feet for the the most part he'd been out of work for a year with the economy and i've held on too mine for almost 2 years now. Anyone know of anything like an apartment, trailer or home for rent for pretty cheap? We'd appreciate it thanks

Are you looking at Great Bridge or Hickory? Maybe all the way down Cedar Rd (heading towards Camden) there might be a house for rent in a VERY rural area called Cornland Acres, but I doubt it would be in your budget.

If the highest you can go is $550 I think you're out of luck in the area you want. Even 1 bedroom apartments in Great Bridge rent for more than that.

I don't have an answer for you because I'm am not living in the area. I am moving there soon though. Where do you live now, that you hear random gunshots? I'd like to avoid that area. Thx.
