On-Going

Jun 04, 2010 - Jun 26, 2010: Carnival at Mount Trashmore

I forgot to list this up last week. Whether you're a tourist or a local, this little carnival is a great way to get the kids out of the house and wear them out! There's something here for the whole family.

All Weekend

Friday-Sunday: 34th Annual Norfolk Harborfest

If you're looking for free and fun, this is the place to go this weekend. With great food, demonstrations, and plenty of ships and boats to view, and even fireworks - there's something for everybody here. And for those who fancy, there are even ones you can come aboard on and take a tour. Did I mention the dockdog competition presented by Tidewater Dock Dogs?

For a list of hours and events, click this link.

Friday-Sunday: Anime Mid-Atlantic (AMA)
Location: Chesapeake Convention Center in Chesapeake

What do you think your odds are at Cosplay Chess? Are you the next Taiko drum master? So you think you can sew? Are you a werewolf? Do you want to Ask a Ninja? If you're curious to find out the answers, then checkout the Anime Mid-Atlantic. Whether you want to participate or just check out the costumes, there's something here for you.

Just ignore the fact that I completely forgot this was here....

October is here and you know what that means? The scaring has begun.

Busch Gardens is now decked out for Howl-O-Scream.
Hunt Club Farm is teaming with screams at their Haunted Halloween Fest.
Kings Dominion is haunting up the scene.

Any other good scares?

October 8 from 5-10pm: 2nd Annual Town Point Brewfest
Location: Town Point Park in Norfolk
Cost:: Free to enter. Beer Sampling is $20 for 10 sampling tickets and a sampling glass.
Beer lovers unite this friday with some good beer and Oktoberfest style foods.

October 9 from 10am-4pm: Harvest Fair
Location: Farmer's Market in Virginia Beach (Dam Neck at Princess Anne)
Cost:: Free
A little bit for everyone. Plus, their prices are fantastic for freshly grown fruits and vegetables.
