The next two Fridays and Saturdays the Journey Haunted trail is open the other side of Williamsburg. I've heard it's pretty good but scary. The price is $17 at the event but you can save a couple bucks by buying on line. The RIP tickets are interesting too! I love being scared!

We're coming up on the final weeks of the Halloween scare. Make sure you check out the various events that Nikki75 has posted - as well as Howl-O-Scream at Busch Gardens.

For those who haven't heard, tonight is the Survive Norfolk Event. What started off as something small between friends has turned into a 7000 strong massive "survivors vs zombies" event. However, only 1500 people can participate. It's going to be interesting to see how the event unfolds.

Sorry I didn't make a Halloween update, I've been too busy burning and cutting my fingers up for the sake of costumes.

This weekend is Nekocon at the Hampton Roads Convention Center. From start to finish, the vendors, the panels, two dances and three concerts - this convention will please from even the most casual fans to the hardcore. Whether you dress up as a character, a style, or in plain clothes, there will be an endless supply of fun to be had - and many costumes to look at. The fun starts Friday morning and won't stop until Sunday evening - with the exception of a few hours off for sleep (trust me, the staffers need it).

Single day passes and weekend passes are available. $5 Discount for all active duty military with ID.

The lights at the beach seem to be starting up already~

Thanksgiving is this week. Lots of churches and restaurants will be hosting Thanksgiving dinners. Places like Alibis Restaurant and Lounge will be offering a free Thanksgiving Dinner.

Then comes Black Friday - probably the craziest shopping day of the year. Check here for the deals. Psst. The SPCA is even hopping in on this with adoptions of cats at $15 and $25 for dogs.

After that, the weekend is pretty calm. Not much else is going on this weekend.

Thumbs up Garden of Lights

Woo-hoo... going to the Garden of Lights at the Norfolk Botanical Gardens tonight!!! Can't wait! Last year was my first year to attend and it was lovely. I'm really looking forward to seeing it again. It's $10 per car for anyone interested...cash only. Bringing my hubby, grandson and dogs!
