Well, the move for hubby and I is getting closer....June is just around the corner. I am narrowing down my search as to where to apply for nursing (RN) jobs. We will be living in Virginia Beach. If put in the unfortunate position, which hospital would YOU choose for yourself or for a loved one?

I have had good experiences with Sentara Norfolk and EVMS when I had my last child. I was high risk and they took care of me very well. Children's Hospital of the Kings Daughters is also right there and is highly respected.

Look at sign on bonus options and benefits before you choose. CHKD is a good place, but demanding. Sentara Norfolk General is the big Heart Hospital and Sentara Leigh (also in Norfolk) is smaller than SNG. Bayside Hospital is moving to Princess Anne near the Amphitheater next year, so I can't give you any info on that, other than Bayside won't be on that end of town. Virginia Beach General is also expanding and doing alot of outpatient procedures. So, there are many..take your pick after you find what they can offer.
