the VCU dental school is less expensive (I think an extraction is $75?). it can be a pain to get into the system for long term treatment but once in, it's a really easy experience. crowns, bridges, oral surgery...it's all priced well below market prices.

emergent treatment (an extraction would be considered emergent) is first come, first serve. check it out if you have any long term needs. I go there for all of my work.

Hey save dollars while ya can!

If you gotta wait for 4 or 5 yearz to get a broken bone tugged out of your skull, or drive half a day, to save a buck or two then you do!

Hampton Roads is hard living like that

TGIF!!
I went to the emergency room in Ohio. That probably costs more, but I didn't have insurance at the time.

Yes, I'd guess that the OP had the tooth pulled by now too. But for the purpose of updating this thread with some current information this might help. After all, folks do still have dental trouble and often need to find a less expensive way to get xrays or get teeth pulled.

There's a business called Affordable Dentures located in Virginia Beach and another in Suffolk. I used to think they only made dentures but I've learned they cover other services too.

Here's a link to one of the FEE SCHEDULES but keep in mind this is from the office in Virginia Beach. The costs may vary from office to office. It's worth taking the time to read more of the info than just the prices - especially regarding what services are available at the different locations.

I hope this might help someone looking for some current information on low-cost dental help.

Try the dentistry school at MCV in Richmond. It probably is cheaper up there.
