I was traveling down your way yesterday and saw a Sonic listed on the restaurant sign on Route 322, right where you'd get off onto Route 39 to go to Linglestown. I know there is a McDonald's down by the river and a Pizza Hut and something else, but the Sonic was new to the sign. Is this a new restaurant? Is it also down by the river?

It's the other way on PA 39/Linglestown Rd - away from the river. (2330 Linglestown Rd Hbg 17110) Yes it's new.

I don't think the fry grease odor reaches all the way down to the 322 - 39 interchange

The Sonic is located close to the street exit of the parking lot of the new (larger, but far from super) Giant Food store on 39. Never eaten there, but have to smell it when I shop at the Giant.

We don't have a Sonic here in the Selinsgrove area yet and I've only eaten at one in Myrtle Beach once, but I know people who just rave about them, especially their milk shakes. I didn't notice any fry grease odors when we ate at the one in MB.

Thanks for the location info.

Dawne, the Sonic always has customers whenever I drive by. I think lots of people like their food!

I've never been a fast food fan. And when you don't like the taste of it, it smells odd, too. I used to turn the outside air intake off in the car when I drove through State College.
