My friend went with an outdoor gas firepit from AES Hearthplace Inc, and has never had any issues. Here is the website from the unit he choose to purchase from the local dealer in Camp Hill. It never makes any smell so the neighbors can never complain other then our late and sometimes loud BBQ summer gatherings.

Hope this helped!!

Default I found out....

I had a wood burning outdoor unit and found that my township would not allow it's use. They had no ordinances againist the gas units but each county website has information on local areas codes. Mine include that any outside structure other then my home had to be 50 ft away from a gas unit.

No big deal since my outdoor shed was well over the 50 ft. I don't know what I would do without my outdoor gas fire table.

Does any one know of any good gas suppliers in the area for propane? I am currently running off of a 20lb tank and would love to get a hookup to natural gas but it is not available yet in my area.

Thanks,

jim

I had Koppy's for a while. Their service is good, but their price is a little steep. I think Agway and Amerigas are the two big providers in this area. Lots of smaller dealers either franchise or contract with one of the two.
