I see... That's understandable since other theme parks and popular fun destinations deal with similar scenarios. And true, the perk of Dorney was the low price admission.

At least, for you locals, you guys are lucky enough to enjoy it before the younger generation and tourists get to the park.

(I suppose, I would now be part of those crazy tourist out-of-staters, since more people are visiting the park compared to 10 years ago. The old Dorney was a fresh of breath air compared to Six Flags Great Adventure. Hmm...)

During the summer, we frequent Knoebels or Land of Make Believe and 1 trip to Hershey in the summer.
We go to both Dorney and Hershey more frequently for the special seasonal (Spring, Halloween & Christmas) events.

We have little kids, and at my advancing age, I just don't have the patience to deal with the crowds and throngs of teenagers.

One good thing about Hersheypark is that it is scrupulously clean.

I see I see..

Isn't it a funny coincidence that within our period of talking about Dorney, this happens? --> Dorney expands park article

We're being spied on? .... Nah... Can't be.. >.>
Now, I'm just curious to see if this wouuld help or not with the crowds.

(Although, I wouldn't mind if this expansion included that out-of-place corner strip mall unless that hibachi restaurant is still there thriving.)

If you are going to be in Harrisburg, check out City Island park. It is a really nice, big family friendly park on the Susquehanna River.
