I am just beside myself after returning from the Carlisle last night. I have been trying to find an apartment but no luck. I cannot get anyone to help and let me know which areas to stay away from. Being from a very small area in NW PA, Carlisle seems large. Any suggestions on where to start looking. My future employer will be Embarq and I would like to find something close by.

There aren't any "bad" areas in Carlisle.
I don't know where Embark is located, so I can't help ya there.
I live on the outskirts, near the Fairgrounds.
Good luck

I guess I was wrong about there not being any "bad" areas. Sorry bout that.

Carlisle Police are investigating a report from a woman who says she was abducted, beat-up and then shoved into a local creek.

The 38-year-old woman says she was walking to her car on East Pomfret Street around 3:30 a.m., when a car pulled up to her. Three men wearing hoodies pulled her into a maroon car and drove to Letort Park which is about a block away.

When they tried to pull her out of the car, she says she screamed and they punched her in the face and stomach. The struggle ended with her being shoved into the Letort Creek.

Police found the woman along the creek, muddy and missing clothes and shoes. They are asking for the public's assistance with any information to help solve this reported kidnapping.
