I will be moving to just outside of Hershey in Hummelstown. I know little to NOTHING of the area and need an affordable small apartment. 1 bedroom or even a studio would be fine. Does anyone know of areas i should look into? I am originally from just outside philadelphia, in the suburbs so... i would prefer something similar, not too city like but definitely not in the middle of nowhere. any thoughts??? thank you so much for the help!!!!

Go to a local grocery store and pick up an apartment guide. Hummelstown is pretty nice, but be careful as you get towards Lower Paxton and Swatara....some of the apartment complexes are ghetto. Also note that the Harrisburg suburbs aren't anything like the Philly suburbs, they are boring and lack a lot of culture (though it has been getting better recently). I don't know what your age is, but most young people are moving into the city.

Default Apartment ratings website

There is a website called Apartment Ratings. Most of Harrisburg's apartment complexes can be found in it. Some of the reviews are quite scathing.
