Hello all!

Although a northwestern PA native, I currently live in Denver but will be relocating to the Lancaster area in about a month. Can anyone tell me what the apartment rentals are like downtown? I remember that there are some pretty sketchy places which I will definitely avoid, but can't remember if there any decent apartment buildings or apartments above storefronts? Are there any rentals that are pet-friendly? I have a small dog who has been living with my parents for the last 1.5 yrs but I would love to have her with me.

I'm also on the lookout for an executive-level administrative assistant position too

Thanks!

Hello, as a landlord would love to show you my pet friendly loft in downtown, however, will be taken by the time you get here so check out craigslist in late June. Now is the time to search, students are away and you may have better luck, however, don't wait too long as they fill up and the housing market is tight in the city...Regarding living in Lancaster, hmmmmmmm, lets see, the downtown area offers many nice loft apartments, try the Watch Towers, they are like five minutes from the center of town, have private parking, washer and dryers, in the city proper, you won't have a problem, by the central market their is a loft building, also the umbrella factory is a good one, look up their site...Good Luck

The downtown real estate market is actually really tight right now. If you live in a more residential part of the city you can find something reasonalbe within a 10-15 min walk of center city. I am defining CC as being 100-300 block of N Queen St. and 3 blocks in each direction from this stretch of road. Good luck finding a place.
