I am living in Lower Paxton and want to get out of here, I saw Mechanicsburg and actually like the area. I know very little about it, other than the eye test. I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations on places or apartments that will take a pet (dog), I am looking for a one bedroom, $700 range. Any help would be appreciated.

Meridian West Shore. It's right off 11/15 between the Slate Hill Road and Rossmoyne Road exits. I know someone that moved into these a couple of years ago, because she had a dog and wanted a safe place for single woman to live. I believe they were new at the time.

Thank you. I really appreciate this. However, my dog weighs more than 25 lbs. These restrictions are ridiculous. $500 deposit for a pet. This area is scratched off my list.

A place called Charleston Estates (Portland Street) rents to people with large dogs. They are small 2-story townhouses, and are more expensive and larger than you're looking for. I believe they're 2 BR, 1.5 Ba, and $825/mo with a dog. There are no weight restrictions for dogs and many people have labs/german shepherd type dogs.
