There are things to do in Hershey/Hummelstown I'm sure, it's just that we don't have kids so I can't recommend anything like that. Mostly, when we had my niece and nephew, we took them to Hersheypark (season passes).
And in Hershey/Hummelstown, you're not so far from the greater Harrisburg area so I know you can find activities just maybe not right in Hershey/Hummelstown. It all depends on what kinds of activities you like and want to do.
