Update for new comer please?

Can you provide the best places in York County to live in with the zip codes and where they are located around I-83...
I will be commuting from Baltimore daily and will be taking 83 so that is all that i am familiar with at the moment.

We are looking at homes for purchase now

I really wouldn't go past the New Freedom / Shrewsbury exit if commuting to Baltimore. I would even consider Towson or Cockeysville.

Good info because we are going to look at homes in York today. We will be commuting to Maryland for work. Does anyone know about the taxes? I heard something about 1/12 of the taxes? How can I figure out how much of an increase I will see in my take home pay??

We just want to see what our taken home will be so we can estimate these high taxes here! Wow!

Also, how much might utility bills be in a newer home maybe about 2000 square feet? Any help is appreciated.

Also, anyone know about finding ride shares from York to Baltimore city? Hopefully with a teacher?

Local shuttles on rabbitransit from York to Baltimore.

Shrewsbury is a growing community. As is loganville. Both close to rte 83. That rte is notorious for accidents ...
Economy wise...Some of the best local fresh farm foods! Brown's orchard is a must
Taxes in PA are rather high... Despite food and clothing exemption.
Income is at 3.07% and sales 6.1% or higher contingent on items..Tires,liquor,tobacco..Carry higher fees. We also have yearly car inspections..

I don't get why people want to spend more of their life in a car. Live as close to work as possible!! It's not like you live in the Bay Area and need to spend $3500 a month on a studio apartment.
