Hi folks. So, when I was a teenager, the Paxton Area Jaycees used to put on a haunted house, mostly with kids/teens as volunteers to work in it as the monsters/ghosts. It was really fun and silly, and a little creepy without being horrifying for kids.

From what I can surmise, the Jaycees are no longer in existence, and I haven't been able to find a similar type of "nonthreatening" but spooky haunted house. All the "haunted" stuff in the area seems to be really extreme, with lots of gore and chainsaws and stuff, which I'm not really into, but definitely don't want to take my kids to. And then everything that isn't super gory is really babyish and not spooky at all.

Any suggestions?
