My husband and I are moving to Harrisburg in a little less than 2 weeks. We're coming from southern Georgia so we wanted to be a little closer to city life- since it's been pretty boring here. We put in an application for a town house in the Capitol Heights area. (i think that's right) Now i'm very worried about the area. He's in the military so will be gone for some periods of time. I really love the house - its newer and has everything we're looking for. Anybody have thoughts on the crime rates in the area??

It get's a little rough North and East of there, but the immediate area is actually really nice. They just built a new HACC campus near there and a development is definitely moving that direction. It's still got your typical urban issues, but if you won't run into any serious violence. The closer you are to the river, the nicer the neighborhood gets.
