Relocating from Brooklyn via NJ (Carlisle, Boiling Springs: apartment, rental, how much)

Family is looking to move to the Carlisle area; heard good things about Boiling Springs but haven't seen anything for rent. Want to line up some rental viewings before venturing out that way.

Schools are important, but our oldest is 2, so we have time. A YMCA or school with swimming lessons would be nice, within 30 minutes. Thanks!

Unfortunately, zip code names and municipal/school boundaries align very poorly in this part of PA. You may need a good map to try to decode listings. The maps of municipalities, and school districts, on https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cumber...,_Pennsylvania may help.

Boiling Springs itself (17007 zip) is fairly small. However, all of South Middleton Township attends the Boiling Springs schools.

South Middleton Township South Middleton School District

The portion of the 17007 zip in Monroe Township would attend Cumberland Valley schools. CVSD is much larger and generally higher rated than South Middleton.

Much of South Middleton Twp will have a Carlisle mailing address (portions of both 17013 and 17015). This would be the part of the township that would be more likely to have single homes for rent.

Some of 17065 (Mount Holly Springs) mailing address is in South Middleton Twp. However, the more populous part of 17065 is Mount Holly Springs borough, and despite being surrounded by South Middleton Twp, the borough kids attend Carlisle Area schools. A bit of Dickinson Twp has a 17065 zip as well, this would also be in Carlisle Area schools.

Finally, a good chunk of 17324 (Gardners postal address) is in South Middleton Twp, this is a more rural area with limited services though.
