Hey guys,

I'm thinking about relocating to the Harrisburg/York region, and would like to know if the traffic is better, comparable, or worse than the traffic in the Philly region? Thanks!

Yes, generally better but it depends where and how far you are going as well as the time of day. Hard to give you a better answer without more details.

Harrisburg is bad during the rush hour. Once that passes you are good throughout the day and the evenings. York is horrible. As E-Z-B said route 30 is bad. Horrible actually. And trying to travel the side streets to avoid is is like driving in a maze. a 10 minute trip will be 20 minutes. But it also depends on where you will be working. If you will be working in York, you do not want to be travelling to and from York every day if you don't have to. I do it and after a while it just becomes frustrating. Also I'm from Philly. And while I didn't have to drive much when I lived there, just having those alternate routes to places to avoid traffic was a blessing. Not really an option here.
