Hi folks. Not a big deal at all, but we will be spending a few nights in the area in a month and one of the things we'll be doing is shopping for the grandkids, are there any good size (130+ stores) malls in Harrisburg? We see that there is a nice one in Allentown, albeit a bit more north than we'd like. We may consider Allentown area as it has a nice mall as well Homesuites hotel.

Or is there something just outside of Harrisburg, but close to harrisburg, and our way to Quantico (route 15)

Harrisburg's shopping is quite decentralized and therefore not quite as "built-up" in one location, despite the size of its metro area. The most centralized shopping center is going to be Park City Center in nearby Lancaster, about a 45-minute drive away: https://www.parkcitycenter.com/en.html

In the actual Harrisburg area, you have:
The Capital City Mall is conveniently located right on Route 15 but isn't nearly as large as the Park City Center.

You can find more upscale shopping at the Shoppes at Susquehanna and outlet shopping at the Tanger Outlets in Hershey.

Thank you. Trying hard to stay on rote from Bushkill Falls, to Harrisburg, to Quantico, so not sure if Lancaster (which is an area we love) is close enough this time. While it's on the way, just Farrer down, Leesburg, VA has a ton of shops. The ladies were hoping to do some shopping the day that got into Harrisburg or the next morning, but again, there are plenty of shops on the way should the shops in the Harrisburg area proof not to be what they want or are looking for.

Thank you for your time in this matter. it is one of the reason, that I swear by city-data.com

I would stick with the Hershey outlets (Tanger outlets).

There are tons of great stores there you would find in nearly any nice mall.

Lancaster has better shopping overall than Harrisburg, but the Hershey Outlets should suffice your needs for sure and you probably will find more than at the Allentown Mall. (unless you are looking for an Apple Store).

And after you shop at the outlets I would recommend taking the 5 minute drive to downtown Hershey and have lunch at one of its many nice restaurants. Iron Hill Brewery is a great one!

Great suggestion and not to far off the roads we will be traveling. With 65 less stores than the big mall in Allentown, we might have to ship here. We will look at what stores are at each mall. this will help make this decision which easier. Buying for 3 grandkids (and who knows what the misses might find for herself

Thank you again. Hershey is a great place. We stop her once before to tour the gardens, and the car museum
