It seems like the majority of the apartments around the Harrisburg area are old and rundown. I am around the Colonial Park area for only a few more months and noticed how the apartments in the area look so old. It is just not here, some apartments in Camp Hill look just as old. Out of curiosity, are most apartments like this in the areas around the city?

Have you tried York? I noticed in another thread that you mentioned you are from MD. There are a lot of MD transplants in York, many still work in MD. I make the commute from York to Harrisburg everday, it's not that bad if you leave early enough. And there is a daily bus run too.

Have you gone to the Waverly Woods Area? There's a townhome community there, Timber Ridge. Good townhomes for rent. Susquehanna Township by Linglestown has some newer townhomes for rent. I lived at Timber Ridge for seven years. I moved to Midtown because I wanted to be closer to the city, have better access to public transportation and I was getting depressed in the suburbs. Happier now in Midtown.

I actually saw Timber Ridge and I liked it. Looks nice. I can understand what you mean about the suburbs.
