Do people dress:

Professional?
Preppy?
Urban?
Country?
Sweats - baseball caps?
Metropolitan?

South central PA is very casual and not fashion-forward. It's a little more on the preppy side if anything, but you'll see lots of sweats/baseball caps too.

Immediately outside of Lancaster city is very suburban so you'll see more preppy or somewhat professional. Outside of that, Lancaster County is pretty rural so it'll be country/very casual, drab, and plain. That's kind of the hallmark of Amish and Mennonite culture in that area.

There's also a GenZ element in the city that is more artsy/vintage/eclectic/post-punk pop. That's mostly just a city thing though, but even in the city it's not a huge thing. I like to see it around on the streets though... as a bland dressing geezer myself.

Why are you asking?
Depends on the age group and where you are specifically. I'd say a mix generally, I see less professional and maybe more business casual in Lancaster City and Hburg.
The mall in Lancaster has a H&M and Urban Outfitters.
