Hello everyone,

My wife and I are considering relocating from Jersey to the Mechanicsburg area. We are currently renting and we would like to buy our first home, but are finding it near impossible to find anything descent that we could afford here in northern Jersey. Can we find a nice home in the Mechancisburg area in the price range of $200 - $225 K. This would be for a single family home with 3 bedrooms.

Thanks,
Gary

Sure, you can find some homes around here in that price range. You're most likely going to find older homes though. You might want to consider the Camp Hill area as well... you'll probably find a few more homes, and it's not too far from Mechanicsburg. Here's one I found at realtor.com
236 Green Lane Drive, Camp Hill, PA, 17011 - MLS #10189955 - Single Family Home real estate - REALTOR.comĀ®
If you just go to realtor.com and type in what you want(3 bedroom blabla baths...) then put in the zip (Mechanicsburg zips are 17050 and 17055... better to use 17050) and hit search, then you can select more options and click search nearby areas... you might consider Camp Hill, Enola, Marysville, Lemoyne, and New Cumberland as well as Mechanicsburg... they're all nearby.
