How much is the cheapest price of SPAM you've ever found in these 5 years?
The cheapest one (without coupon or limit) I remember was in Walmart in summer 2009 at $1.59 a can.

Aaaaahhhhhhhh,,, the 2009 Spam........ Just the right bouquet,,,, not too much shoulder, a slight hint of pork, and the subtle aromatic of a yet to be determined meat source.. Still can't beat the classic years, anything from 1968-72. Beware of the Spam Lite, not a venue that Spam officianados take seriously, although I'm certain it has it's place somewhere.. Perhaps the deepest darkest jungles of Puna?

Uuuurrrrpppp,,,, must be the Spam...........................

I have seen some sale prices as low as $1.79 recently, but the norm seems to be closer to $1.99 to $2.29 per can.
With the recent (2011) additional weight tax on incoming container shipping that our illustrious Democratic governor gleefully increased by 50%, I doubt that price will happen again, except as a loss leader by a grocery store.

There was that special they had several years ago with the limited edition "Hawaii" Spam labels. Those cans were pretty inexpensive although I forget exactly how much they were. Is this question for market research? Are you going to compete against Spam, Cartoonemon? What would one name a competing Spam product? Anti-Spam? Hmm, if one was going to make a product called "Anti-Spam" one would figure it should be vegetarian.

No, nothing about research. Is it unacceptable to you if I just wonder?

A large can of sweet potatoes, and some sliced Spam (take some potatoes out and replace with Spam). Heat over campfire for a while, and presto. Good Eats. Beats Dinty Moore, whoever he is!!!
