So I did a search for Hawaii Forums and this one seems to be the most popular. My husband, Daughter and I are planning to move to the BI within the next year or two so I'm enjoying reading the threads, but was also hoping to ask about some other things pertaining to our upcoming trip. Is that cool?

Assuming that is okay, does anyone have any recommendations for a photographer on the BI? Our next trip is in Jan 2012 and we're renewing our wedding vows and would like photos done. We'll be staying in Kona and just want simple family photos, nothing major.

Would also LOVE to hear about any of your favorite places to eat out, we haven't been to the BI since 2002. I heard Ocean View Inn is now The Fish Hopper...none too happy with that change.

I have questions about Maui too, maybe should create a separate thread though.

You'll find that a lot of restaurants have changed since 2002, especially with the downturn in the economy. But there are still a lot of good ones left. My favorite for watching the sun set is the Kona Inn. And for really fresh fish, I like Bite Me at the Honokohau Harbor and the Kawaihae Grill.

I sent you a private message.
