we've been to Kauai and Oahu (2 years ago) for 10 days.
We're going to Maui this year again for 10 days but haven't booked a hotel yet.
my question is: should we go to any other islands (aside from the 2 we've been to) or spend all our time in Maui? (we have a car in Maui)

keep in mind that our tickets will be about 250 round trip for both of us but we haven't booked our hotel and can definitely do that if it's worth it.

ps. we're on the east coast.

You can very easily fill up 10 days in Maui - personal recommendation is save the stress of expense, airports, and packing/unpacking as well as getting used to jet lag and stay in Maui.

For ten days, one island will keep you busy. Changing islands takes almost a full day what with getting to the airport, relocating luggage, renting a car, etc. Next vacation, spend ten days on a different island. Eventually, you'll get them all!

yeah, i understand.
although i wouldn't say it takes a whole day :-)
last time, we stayed in Kauai for 7 nights, then went to the airport around 8 pm. got on a 9 pm flight. was in our hotel by 10:30 so the whole ordeal took about 3 and a half from hotel to hotel. not too bad if you ask me especially if it's all done after dark :-)

but i understand your point and if Maui has enough to offer for the whole duration of our stay, then we'll do just that. stay there the whole time.

Thanks again :-)
