I spend a weekend on Molokai before they built the hotels. The only thing to do on Saturday night was go to the music at the -I think it was called-Pau Hana Inn. In those days people would wave at you when you drove by. I'm sure it's changed a lot.

They've built hotels?? ON MOLOKAI?????

Wait until the folks over there hear about it. Some of my best weekends that I can vaguely recall were over on Molokai. Few late night beers at the Pau Hana or the Hotel Molokai, then everyone would cruise down to the pier, inu'inu and kanikalpila till dawn. Good times.
