Hello,

I have great memories of music I heard on the radio as a child in the 1980s in Hluawaii

I was in Hawaii for Thanksgiving and heard a song I remmbered from childhood. I could not easily write down the lyrics since it was in Hawaiian.

Here are the three clues:

A. The song was slow and sung by a man.

B. It was abit sad.

C. The one helpful unique clue:

While the song is sung by a man, the chorus is sung partially by a girls choir.

So, does anyone know of any Hawaiian songs that are slow and sad, sung by a man with a girls choir singing part of the chorus? I would really like to track down this song.

Mahalo

Nearly impossible with that info. Need actual lyrics. Is it traditional? The first song that comes to mind is "Hawaii Aloha" Sung by many different artists with a sing along chorus.

If you could video yourself humming it and post it on YouTube, I'll bet the locals could tell you really quickly.
