Again, you display your noobyness. "Howzit" is a signature Hawaiian greeting, particularly when accompanied with a shaka sign. I'll let you Google that for yourself.

Thumbs down to early...

Hotzcatz has been here on the forum more than 5 years and has lived in Hawai'i many decades. She has posted 4,880 comments to date (to your 73), and has a Rep point rating of 2225 (to your 38). And she's well known around these parts as an unusually helpful and generous contributor to others, with a dry sense of humor. To me she really personifies the Aloha spirit.

FWIW, I had the same reaction to your post as she did, thinking you must be a really fresh malahini to make that big and obvious a mistake. There are goddesses in Hawai'i, yes, but Queen L is not one of them, so you didn't seem to me to be silly as much as just misinformed or confused.

Hotzcatz, on the other hand, is as close to being a goddess around this place as anyone ever needs to be, so my best advice to you would be to apologize for your ill chosen words.
Go back to bed, Open D...it's way to early to listen to your trite comments to someone who woke up happy and only trying to have fun.

Once again, the self-appointed thread patrolman steps forward to put a newbie "in his place" and reestablish the Hawaii Forum pecking order. (Silliness is not permitted here...read your TOS! Check the archives! Remain silent until you have been here for X years!).

Meanwhile, surfer 778, post whatever you feel like posting!

You have no life, do you? hahahahaha Do you read everything literally? Then never ever read Twilight or Hunger Games. You might think vampires attend your local high school or the government is going to conduct a murderous game show involving children.

And my 38 reputation? I never even noticed that until you pointed it out. Cool. I never realized it. 38 people like what I have to say, thanks for pointing that out to me.
As you can see in my username, I might rather be riding waves then competing with the likes of you over a forum from a city data website.
So good for you, you have a better "reputation" than me, but have you ever ridden a 8 foot wave in Tahiti? Or surfed inside a pipe in Gold Coast, Australia?
If you didn't, I wouldn't make you feel bad about it. Unlike what YOU like to do to people.
If you can manage to be bitter and angry and a bully on the internet while living in Paradise that is the state of Hawaii, then where and how can you possibly ever be happy?
But then again, your location says you live in Volcano, HI. And I would be unhappy if I lived there too. That is like the coldest rainiest place to live. Like in the low 60s and 50s in winter. And cloudy and rainy everyday. Damn. Try not to drown in lava. Learning to surf might help you when the lava comes to your house, but pecking insults on your keyboard doesn't do anything, but falsely boost your ego. But it is all illusory, and you know that. Don't you?

My noobyness?? LMAO! Oh dear....

Typical Americans who think they own every word. No offense to any Americans, Hawaiian-Americans, etc. But Howzit if YOU GOOGLE IT, the first thing that comes up is it being a popular and common South African term for "How is it". I'd say more people associate it with South African slang than Hawaiian.

Again, calm down and stop using the internet to make others unhappy like you. Being rude over the web is sooo passé, and telling.

Don't worry, I'll try not to let it happen again.
