Eating raw snails can lead to serious health issues like angiostrongylus meningitis and nasty parasites!!!

Snail and slug poop/slime can lead to something really serious in Hawaii---rat lungworm disease. This is nasty. I've seen it up close and it's devastating.
No eating unwashed lettuce from the garden, EVER!!!

While it is true that snails carry a lot of diseases atleast this proves they don't use pesticides in their salad and it is organic.

What type of snail is it? If one of those typical dirt snail those are harmless.

Where in the article did you see that? Given Hawaii uses some of the most pesticides in the United States it is highly unlikely that DOE would spend the extra $$$'s for organic.

No, it means that they didn't clean their produce sufficiently. @@
And those "typical dirt snails" are not harmless. No, they don't sting or bite but they definitely carry disease.

Wow I had no ideal that eating snail or slug poop or snails in produce was such an issue in Hawai'i. Mahalo for the info, try to be careful.
