2 interesting jobs in Honolulu. NOAA’s National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), Pacific Islands Regional Office (PIR), Sustainable Fisheries Division (SFD), located in Honolulu, HI is seeking a Natural Resource Management Specialist. These are federal positions, meaning mainlanders are not getting automatically the short end of the stick. But qualifications are also very specific. https://www.usajobs.gov/GetJob/ViewDetails/366267300

Federal jobs are good, if you can get one. These days you basically need veterans' preference to get any job in the federal government. A veteran will be selected over a better qualified person with no military experience
